Agilent Cary630 FTIR sampling appendage
Agilent Cary630 is a new Fourier transform infrared spectrometer designed for conventional infrared spectroscopy. The instrument is compact, powerful and easy to operate. For different sample testing requirements, Cary630 provides a series of optional sampling attachments, which can be quickly replaced by the slide - in orbit, and the software automatically identifies the attachment. This review describes in detail the main accessories of Agilent Cary630 and their uses.
Transmission sample bin appendage
The classical infrared transmission analysis can be carried out in the transmission sample chamber, including solid, liquid and gas. The analysis of the transmitted sample samples requires proper pre-processing with the corresponding accessories. Solid powder samples are often analyzed by KBR tabletting; liquid can be analyzed by liquid pools; gas can be analyzed by Agilent Cary630's gas pool.
TumblIR single optical path liquid transmission analysis appendage
TumblIR is the Agilent Co's patent for liquid transmission analysis. It is especially suitable for the analysis of viscous samples such as oil and fuel. The TumblIR technology is to drop the sample on the test platform. A liquid film with fixed light path is formed between the crystal window and the measuring probe. The infrared light passes through the sample directly, which is equivalent to the sealed liquid pool, which ensures the sensitivity and reproducibility, and avoids the complex operation of the assembly and cleaning of the liquid pool. TumblIR is a 100 micron fixed optical path transmission accessory, which can be used for quantitative analysis of the content of liquid samples at the 50ppm level. The software contains the standard analysis method of biodiesel (FAME) and lubricating oil, which provides an ideal method for the rapid quantitative analysis of liquid.
Dialpath multi path liquid transmission analysis appendage
The patented Dialpath multi path technology can be used to analyze liquid samples with different concentrations. The dripping transmission analysis is also adopted to avoid the trouble of assembly, injection and cleaning of traditional liquid tanks. Dialpath can simultaneously select the optical path of three plant settings, and the switch between different optical paths can be processed in quantitative and qualitative analysis at different concentration levels. Dialpath can also provide customized optical path according to application requirements.
Diamond crystal ATR accessories
Attenuated total reflection (ATR) is easy to use and is the most common infrared analysis accessory without sample preparation. Cary630's ATR uses diamond crystals, which makes the spectrum detection range no longer restricted, and the hard material of the diamond avoids the problem of scratch and corrosion when measuring the sample. The incident depth of the ATR annex is 1-2 microns, which is especially suitable for rapid determination and simple quantitative analysis of fixed and liquid, such as sample alignment, polymer confirmation, percentage calculation of copolymers, identification of raw materials, identification of unknown compounds and determination of concentration. The Agilent Cary630 diamond crystal ATR can be automatically loaded with sample spectrum preview and can be tested within 1 minutes. It is widely used in food, chemical, drug, fuel, and other fields.
diffuse reflectance
Diffuse reflection accessories can provide qualitative and quantitative information for powder samples or solid samples. For powder samples, the diffuse reflectance is more sensitive and sensitive than ATR analysis. The powder sample is mixed and diluted with KBr, and can be directly measured in the sample cup. Agilent diffuse reflection accessories are optimized on the Cary630 system, providing higher sensitivity and faster detection speed.
